Connecting People and Water through Cycling

Donations to Water Cycles Youth Development Programs

$10.00 - $250.00

Our Youth Development Programs currently focus on expanding access to bike-powered learning and community science in the Grand River and globally. Our current activities include an interactive game, A Water Cycles Adventure, for primary school children. The game debuted at the Waterloo-Wellington Children's Groundwater Festival in early June 2024 and in May 2025, reaching nearly 10,000 primary school students in the Upper Grand. We are also working with area high schools to develop a new outdoor education program that will provide opportunities for students to learn about the Grand River, collect data about the health of the river, and get involved in river stewardship. Donations will support the establishment of a bike fleet to broaden access to these programs, supporting the next generation of water leaders. In 2026, our priority is to secure grant funding for the bike fleet and establish a pilot outdoor education partnership.
